On November 7, 2019, Prof. Huai Yang from Peking University, Associate Professor Xiao Liang from Tsinghua University and Dr. Yu-Ge Huang from University of Central Florida visited the lab.

On March 29, 2019, Distinguished Researcher Li-Hui Wang from the University of Tokyo, Japan, visited the lab and gave a lecture entitled “Adaptive liquid lens and super-fast imaging technology”.

On December 25, 2018, Hao-Qing Liu, Associate Researcher from Yale University, visited the lab and gave a lecture entitled “Soft matter and the application in engineering biological”. Associate Professor Yong Xie from School of Physics, Beihang University visited the lab together.

On October 10, 2017, Prof. Toyohiko Yatagai from Utsunomiya University, Japan, visited the lab.

On July 3, 2017, IEEE Fellow, Prof. Yu-Heng Hu from Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA, visited the lab and gave a lecture entitled “Visual object tracking: challenges and opportunities”.

On November 7, 2016, Prof. Hong-Shou Gu from Ming-Hsin University of Science and Technology, Taiwan and Prof. Jian Wu from East China Normal University visited the lab and gave lectures entitled “The X-on-silicon technology for photonic application” and “Photon energy deposition in strong-field ionization of molecules”, respectively. Ms. Zi-Yun Luo, Deputy Secretary General of Sichuan Flat Panel Display Industry Association, visited together.

On July 25, 2016, Prof. Lian Zhao from Ryerson University, Canada, visited the lab and gave a lecture entitled “Generalized geometric water-filling and its applications in green communications and load balancing for smart grid”.

On July 5, 2016, Prof. Jong-Wha Chong from Hanyang University, Korea, visited the lab and gave a lecture entitled “Color filter array demosaicing method for bayer-like W-RGB pattern based on color difference assumption”.

On December 25, 2015, Prof. Yo-Sung Ho from Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, South Korea, visited the lab and gave a lecture entitled “MPEG activities for 3D video coding”. He also exchanged ideas with lab members.

On October 10, 2015, Prof. Sin-Doo Lee from Seoul National University, Korea, visited the lab and gave a lecture entitled “Future display technologies”.

On April 27, 2015, Dr. Guo-Hai SiTu, Researcher from Shanghai Institute of Optics visited the lab and gave a lecture entitled “Phase-space optics: theory and application”.

On September 3, 2014, Graham Myhre, Researcher from Apple Inc. USA, visited the lab.

On August 28, 2014, Prof. Leon Glebov from the University of Central Florida, USA, visited the lab.

On July 10, 2014, Prof. Olivier from IRISA/University of Rennes, France, and Researcher Zhi Liu from Shanghai University visited the lab and gave lectures entitled “Image inpainting: a super-resolution-based method” and “High-performance region-based saliency detection for images and videos”, respectively.

On June 12, 2014, Dr. Jiang Li, Tenured Professor from Old Dominion University, USA, and Associate Professor Ze-Zhong Zheng from University of Electronic Science and Technology visited the lab and gave lectures entitled “Machine learning for high-dimensional data analysis” and “High-resolution aerial data analysis based on high resolution”, respectively. The two sides also conducted in-depth exchanges on machine learning, data mining and remote sensing image processing.

On October 26, 2012, Prof. Fu-Rong Zhu from Hong Kong Baptist University gave lectures entitled “High contrast OLEDs” and “Semitransparent organic solar cells”. He also conducted in-depth academic exchanges with lab members.

On May 10-12, 2012, invited by the lab, Prof. Seung Hee Lee and Prof. Hong-Wen Ren from Chonbuk National University, Korea, conducted collaborative research and had a thorough exchange on the joint project between China and Korea.

On April 11, 2011, Prof. Han-Ping Xie from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, gave a lecture entitled “Energy-saving and environment-friendly TFT-LCD” and had an in-depth academic exchange with lab members.

On June 19, 2010, Prof. Anand Asundi from Nanyang Technological University and Prof. Hong-Wen Ren from Chonbuk National University visited the lab. Prof. Hong-Wen Ren gave a lecture entitled “Variable focus liquid lenses and their applications” and had an in-depth academic exchange with lab members.

On July 2, 2009, invited by the lab, Prof. Seung Hee Lee from Chonbuk National University gave a lecture entitled “Present and future liquid crystal displays” and had an in-depth academic exchange with lab members.

On March 24, 2008, Prof. Thomas X. Wu from University of Central Florida, visited the lab and gave a lecture entitled “Numerical modeling and optimization of novel optical devices”. He had an in-depth academic exchange with students and faculty.

On March 7, 2005 and April 11, 2008, Dr. Daniel den Engelsen from LG. Philips Displays, Netherlands, visited the lab and gave lectures on “Displays for TV” and “Trends in large displays”.
