The lab organized the 5th CSIG International Conference on 3D Image which was hosted by the China Society of Image and Graphics in Chengdu on September 22-24, 2011. Nearly 100 experts and scholars from overseas universities such as Germany, Korea and Canada, and domestic universities such as Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Nankai University, Tianjin University, Jilin University, Sun Yat-sen University, Southeast University, Sichuan University, University of Electronic Science and Technology, Xidian University, Southwest Jiao Tong University and other enterprises such as TCL Group Corporation, Changhong Electronics Group Corporation and Tianma Microelectronics Company attended the conference. The conference covered a number of 3D image technology fields such as 3D display, 3D measurement, 3D acquisition and coding. The achievements of Sichuan University and other organizations in 3D images were exhibited, and good comments were received by the participants.
